Reasons for Not Living Life to the Fullest:
In today’s world where time is running out, we have everything but time. We are consumed by 9 to 5 jobs, we return home burdened with household tasks and responsibilities, leaving no time to savor the moments. We rush through the tasks exhausting ourselves due to which we are just fulfilling tasks without savoring and enjoying the moments we are blessed with. We forget to enjoy the little things and regret them later as Robert Breault wisely said: ‘’Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.’’
Even in worth enjoying moments we get agitated as raising kids. Kids demand energy and love. We give them fleeting attention and then get pulled away by other responsibilities. Take another example we visit our loved ones but soon we think of plenty of tasks hovering over our minds we make excuses to leave early. We miss the richness of quality time in a gathering.
Take a moment to consider your daily routine. Make a list of everything you do, noting the activities you enjoy. Evaluate how much time you dedicate to these enjoyable tasks. You may find that you are living a routine life without truly savoring each moment. Consider what you would like to do differently. When blessed with health you still take it for granted. Only when we are afflicted with suffering then we realize what it means to be healthy and to savor those moments that we spent nagging complaining, living in aggression, and suffering for unfulfilled dreams and lifestyles. So today I am going to share with you how to live life to the fullest and not regret the ‘could have’ better moments.
1. Time is money so treat it likewise:
You heard this before right so treat it like that. Use your time as money for things that are worth it. Would you give away money for scrolling down your cell phone, or would you rather invest money to get some financial advice? Invest your money i.e., time in productive growth for your mental health.
2. Healthy body healthy mind:
Yes, very simple eat well, sleep well and your mind will be healthy enough to think better for smarter moves. Take a walk, do some exercise, keep yourself fit.
3. Embrace Nature:
Sooth your body and mind and stay in tune with nature. Go travel the world around. Love the open air. Instead of having tea in a closed room. Enjoy your tea viewing the sky on your balcony with your loved ones.
4. Do work that makes you happy and vice versa:
Take time to do things that make you happy. Enjoy your work no matter what. If you don’t enjoy then quit and if you can’t quit then enjoy. Don’t get irritated by what you do. You have to do it and then do it happily rather than being angry.
5. Live in Present:
Focus on the present moment and improve it, rather than stressing about the future or dwelling on the past.
6. Declutter and organize your space:
Many people consider it unimportant but this plays a vital role in enhancing your productivity and making you live life to the fullest. Take out all the things that clutter your mind, are duplicates, and things you don't like or have not used for a year or 2. It is a hectic job but make it interesting. Listen to the music and do it. 7. Plan your routine:
Plan your tasks. Omit out the unnecessary to-do list. Mark and schedule and stick to it. Only this way you can maximize your time and productivity. Set goals and break them down into manageable smaller tasks which will avoid overwhelming you and you can live to the fullest.
8. Stop Chasing Perfection:
It is ok that things don’t work as you plan. It is okay when your written article is not perfect. It is okay when you fail at something after effort. It is OK when you can’t do work perfectly. Enjoy the life imperfect life. Don’t let this struggle of perfection stop you or scare you to live to the fullest.
9. Attitude of Gratitude:
